Starting in November, Dr. Bruce Clurman will be a new executive vice president and deputy director at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Clurman, who joined Fred Hutch in 1991 as a senior fellow in oncology, is taking over for his mentor, Dr. Mark Groudine, who served as a deputy director at Fred Hutch for 19 years. Groudine has also served as acting president and director during two interim periods, in 2010 and, most recently, in 2014.
