Life Care Centers of America Inc. and its owner have agreed to pay a $145 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the company made false claims for services rendered.
The U.S. Department of Justice accused the senior living and skilled care company, which has operations locally in Wichita and Andover, of submitting false claims for rehabilitation therapy services deemed unreasonable or unecessary, according to a Reuters report.
