Genentech Inc. bought four buildings it had been leasing — including two parking structures — on the biotech drug developer's South San Francisco campus.
The structures totaling nearly a half-million square feet of space were bought from a unit of biotech real estate developer HCP Inc. (NYSE: HCP). The two office buildings contain a variety of jobs, including research, office and administration while the parking garages have 1,184 spaces, said Genentech spokeswoman Rebecca Phillips.
