Medici, the maker of an app that sends secure text messages to your doctor, is raising some significant chunks of cash.
It has raised at least $24.2 million from 10 investors, according to a Wednesday securities filing. CEO Clinton Phillips told Austin Business Journal on Wednesday that the company is raising even more money but declined to comment further, citing restrictions because the new capital is a private placement.
