St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center announced Thursday that its president, Beth Hughes, would be replaced a year after her appointment.
Hughes was the fifth leader for the 267-bed hospital in as many years. Steward Health System, St. Elizabeth’s parent company, said Joseph Ciccolo, the current chief administration officer of Steward hospitals, would serve as an interim president while a regional and national search began for a permanent replacement.
