P&G redesigns packaging, launches new ad campaign as poison concerns mount

Lingering concerns that young children might be poisoned by eating Tide Pods detergent prompted Procter & Gamble Co. to add a new safety feature to the packaging, which will be introduced in May. The Cincinnati-based company (NYSE: PG) also has launched a national ad campaign to help reduce ingestion by kids who might mistake Tide Pods and P&G’s other single-use laundry packets for colorful candy.
