In a ruling in a case involving Denver-based DaVita Inc., a Texas judge has blocked a new government rule that would have affected how kidney-failure patients pay their bills.
The U.S. District Court in Texas said in a ruling Wednesday that the new government rule had not gone through the proper procedures, including taking public comment, necessarily for a rule change.
The court granted an emergency motion for temporary restraining order filed earlier this month by DaVita (NYSE: DVA).
