Stanford Health Care will eliminate 168 jobs to save its medical system millions of dollars.
The move will save Stanford about $17 million, or a 4 percent reduction, in the budget. With new CEO David Entwistle in place and major expansions on the horizon, the region’s second-busiest hospital is looking for ways to stay lean and competitive as a major Bay Area academic medical giant.
