An Oregon Health & Science University doctor and researcher was awarded a $2 million grant to attack the problem of wasteful spending in the health care system.
Dr. Vinay Prasad will use the funding from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation to delve into tests and treatments that are contradicted by reliable evidence, with a goal of reducing the use of low-value care.
