By comparison, the S&P 500 Index rose nearly 6 percent and the NASDAQ climbed 10 percent to a record high. Among the widely held stocks in our region, Apple jumped 24 percent, Facebook climbed 23 percent and Netflix increased 16 percent; still small beer when compared to our top 10.
