Mayo Clinic will add 16,000 square feet to its downtown Minneapolis sports medicine center.
The project will create 15 new patient exam rooms and give the facility capacity to treat more patients. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo is adding a second suite for ultrasound and regenerative-medicine procedures as part of the project, and buying equipment that will let it offer a broader array of medical-imaging services. It also plans to add staff.
Mayo didn't disclose how much it will invest in the expansion.
