Susan G. Komen Arizona has begun the processing of closing its doors, with plans to cease operations July 31.
Its highly touted Phoenix Race for the Cure event that was scheduled for October is being cancelled. Those who have paid their registration fees for the race will be fully refunded.
Local organizations that were selected for Komen grants in March will be funded through March 31, 2018.
