With a Republican state lawmaker vowing to push back against a new tax on health insurers and hospitals, Gov. Kate Brown warned about the consequences of a delay.
Brown on Monday signed into law House Bill 2391, which is expected to raise $673 million in the next biennium through a 1.5 percent assessment on commercial insurance premiums and a .7 percent tax on hospitals.
