Ohio government agencies tasked with regulating key parts of the medical marijuana industry need more money.
The Department of Commerce is asking for an additional $4.2 million for the fiscal year that started July 1 and $180,000 for the following year to establish a seed-to-sale system.
The Board of Pharmacy wants an additional $1.3 million now and $285,000 next year – funds needed to pay a consultant to develop medical marijuana dispensary applications and a hotline.
