A new permit was recently filed for the expansion of FedExFamilyHouse.
The permit, valued at $501,000, was filed August 18 for "addition phase 2." The expansion plans should be completed in 2018, according to Anne Glanker, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital spokesperson.
FedExFamilyHouse is a "home away from home" for out-of-town families of patients at Le Bonheur. The expansion of the facility at 918 Poplar Ave. was announced last fall, and the groundbreaking was held in March of this year.
