Here’s how an Ohio health insurer is reducing opioid use

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio revealed that use of prescribed opioids dropped dramatically over the past year for its 3.4 million individual and employer-sponsored health plan members, which the Mason-based insurer said was the result of its effort to help combat the state’s epidemic of drug addiction.
