Last week, Overlake Medical Center’s arrhythmia center was the first center of its kind on the West Coast to be accredited to treat atrial fibrillation — or AFib.
The Bellevue-based hospital treats almost 10,000 patients a year in its arrhythmia center and, while AFib accreditation is not necessary to operate, the hospital went through the year-long process so it could say it gives best-in-class care for the condition.
