Two of Northern California’s largest air medical transport companies announced a merger this week.
California Shock Trauma Air Rescue, or CALSTAR, based at McClellan Park in Sacramento, has merged with rival REACH Air Medical Services LLC.
The merger will not cut any of the combined operation's employees or air ambulances, executives said.
Santa Rosa-based REACH and its other affiliates have 600 employees with 40 aircraft at 30 bases in seven states. CALSTAR has 225 employees with 14 aircraft…
