Researchers at the UNC School of Medicine say they are nearing a breakthrough in treating peanut allergy.
Results from a clinical trial of 40 peanut-allergic children found that almost 80 percent of participants achieved “sustained unresponsiveness,” even when eating peanuts weeks after treatment. These are the strongest responses ever recorded.
