The University of Missouri-Kansas City and Children’s Mercy jointly acquired a “state of the art device” on Monday. The new mass spectrometer can measure and analyze proteins quickly for a number of uses.
The high-tech instrument will be particularly useful for the Children's Mercy clinical pharmacology and genomic medicine research programs, Tom Curran, scientific officer and executive director of the Children’s Research Institute, said in a release.
