Arkansas City moves forward on hospital sales tax
Arkansas City is implementing a one-cent sales tax for the South Central Kansas Medical Center.
The decision was made after a Cowley County District Court Judge found that the tax is general in nature and not a special-use tax, according to a KAKE News report.
The Kansas Department of Revenue said the sales tax conflicted with Kansas state law.
